P&G Whisper, a leading feminine hygiene brand, aimed to address a pressing issue: approximately 23 million girls in India drop out of school each year due to a lack of period education and access to menstrual hygiene products. In collaboration with UNESCO, Whisper launched a mission to change this by creating a film and social media campaign to raise awareness and drive action.
The campaign, titled Keep Girls in School, was built on the insight that when 23 million girls leave education annually, they are also forced to abandon their dreams. To communicate this, a compelling film was produced alongside a social media initiative that challenged the government to integrate period education into school curricula. In addition, Whisper pledged to donate menstrual pads with every purchased pack to support girls’ education. The campaign reached audiences across multiple platforms, earning widespread media coverage and recognition.
