VISUAL IDENTITY
GRAPHIC DESIGN
MOTION DESIGN
MY ROLE:
Multidisciplinary Creative-As a Designer and Art Director, I was responsible for coming up with the idea, establishing new branding, creating the visual identity, designing all creative assets and key visuals, and overseeing the launch in the B2C market.
OBJECTIVE:
The task was to create a logo design and a visual identity for a yoga studio that offers a variety of yoga techniques. The goal was to emphasize the range of services, including meditation, provided by the studio.
DESIGN APPROACH:
I began with the logo design, focusing on the studio's name, Yami. The logo incorporates the letter "Y" transformed into a symbol featuring a human figure in a yoga pose, representing freedom, flow, and calmness. I then decided to use motion graphics in the symbol design to make it interactive, envisioning an app-based design that could assist in teaching meditation techniques. The color palette was chosen to be subtle and calming, reflecting the traditional yoga techniques and meditation services offered by the studio. Minimalist graphics were used to effectively convey a serene and balanced atmosphere.
Additionally, the typography was kept clean and clutter-free to enhance the overall sense of tranquility. The type showcases ease and flexibility around the corners, adding a calming effect to complement the concept of yoga. The imagery was also selected to harmonize with the color palette, further reinforcing the studio's peaceful and harmonious environment.
